|
|
This might have been posted before but the search function wasn't working when I tried.
A friend of mine from New Zealand is applying for her criminal check. On the justice website of NZ there are 3 different froms Priv/f1 for individuals and Priv/f2 - Priv/f3 for third parties.
Now I am guessing from the wording of the forms that she needs a Priv/f1 form for individuals. Can anyone who has completed the form confim this?
Also there is no mention of fees for the application. Are there any fees to pay if so how much?
It's nice to see that doing something in the UK is easier for once!!!
Thanks |

there should be no fee for getting the check done.
and make sure she follows them up, cos they can take fuckn aaaages to send them out sometimes.
It should be the personal form, sounds like it is Form1 |

Yeah I can also confirm that its the f1.
When I applied a few months ago they seemed to have a long list of checks to process so if she gets it sooner than one month I think she is doing quite well.
Its definitely free. Make sure she sends it to Internal Affairs to get it apostilled - they have a service for that also. |

Hi,
don't forget to get it apostilled at the authentication unit in Wellington, and make sure the police print it out on an official letterhead. we did that and submitted it to immigration last week (got our visas).
Also, you may want to ring the authentication unit to arrange payment ($40+ postage) from overseas.
Cheers. |

Yep I just had my CRC done about 3 weeks ago. There is a detailed outline on the website of how to apply, and yes it is the F1 form.
There is no fee for the check, but it cost me $40 for the apostille. Your friend can have the Ministry of Justice forward the document directly to the Authentication unit for the Apostille, and arrange payment once they receive it. I sent in my appliction on the Monday and recieved a copy of the check the same week on saturday. I recieved the original with Apostille the following Friday, but it only took that long because I didnt call soon enough to organise payment. (Im in NZ by the way)
here is the website...
