Well, I currently work in Gyeonggi-do and have always gone to the Suwon immigration. But I figure, since my new VISA will be for Seoul (working in Sinchon, living in Yongsan) I guess I will have to go to Seoul immi? Is this correct? I'd rather go to the Suwon one, as it is closer to me currently. But should I go to the Seoul one instead? Cuz it is my jurisdiction or something? |

Yes, you must go to the office of your Immigration district. I'm not familiar with Seoul, but check to see if there's a branch office close to where you live. |

OK, I'll tell others what I had to do for the benefit of people in the same situation as me:
I went to the one at Omakgyo Station (line 5). Everything worked out perfectly... they accepted all my documents, were really nice, and I was out of there in 30 minutes or so. Damn, much better than the Suwon immigration which takes hours!
Anyhow, so if you live in Yongsan, there is no problem going to the one near Omakgyo station! |

What if I live in Haebangchon but work in Gangnam? Is it based on where you live or where you work? |
