If you are doing something like taking the audio out of youtube vids, no matter what you use you won't get a good sound, even if you manipulate the wave by putting it into stereo and re-mixing it. |

Try Audacity. Real easy and more features if you ever need them. Plus it's free.

audacity is the best (imo)
but you'll need to download the mp3 lame converter, which is easy enough. |

Find Lame, the executable file, then find Razor Lame so you have a nice GUI. Works great. Shouldn't be hard to find off google. |
