Hi, I have a R4 chip for my DS and chatting with a friend the other day I found out there are Gameboy Advance chips out there as well. Anyone have any experience with one on a DS or buy one out of Yongsan? I've started downloading some game packs off torrents but I'm hoping I can use them.

Yeah I thought that too but it turns out GBA games only will read from the front GBA slot and not the DS one. The DS roms are .nds files, whereas the gba roms are.gba (or something like that) and won't be read. I'm pretty sure I read this as well on the net when I first tried it.

Unless....I am doing something screwy....

You used to be able to buy those in Yongsan. I have the EZ flash IV in my GBA Slot, and a M3 DS Simply in my DS slot. When I boot into the m3, it gives me an option to boot into the GBA. I'm sure this will be the same for you since the R4 and m3 simply are the same chip with different software.

I recently ordered the M3 DS Real, which comes with a GBA cart that can load GBA games. (wanted to upgrade). I may be getting rid of the EZ flash IV, so if you continue to have a hard time finding one, send me a PM and maybe i'll sell you mine?

Shouldn't be too hard to find though if you look around. Alternatively you could try ordering one online.
