I'm in Columbus, Ohio. What I want to do is to fly to LA, spend the night with a friend and leave from L.A. Assuming that the flight is non-stop from L.A. to Seoul, how many hours is that. I looked at the Korean Air Website but it was confusing. I assume that the plane crosses the international date line and that the date changes and that this would mess up my naive estimate, so tell me, how many hours from LA? |

10 to 12 hours of real time (depending on the aircraft type and routing).
Because of the dateline AND time zone changes it can be as long as 33 hours (going west) on the calendar.

Back in the 80's, the LA-Seoul flight was around 15 hours. |
