I think a while ago PETA offered a reward for production of artificially grown meat which didn't involve animals.
What do you think of this kind of meat?
Personally, assuming the taste was acceptable, I would switch to only artificially grown meat. At the moment I happily eat slain animals because their flesh is delicious. However if there was an alternative available I'd switch over and help stop the slaughter of thousands of pigs, cows, chickens and so on. I love meat, but I don't love butchering. If there was a scientific half-way-house I'd be all over it.
Would the idea of meat grown in a lab instead of farmed on a farm freak you out? If so, why?
Would you feel like you were being ripped off if an animal didn't die for your steak or chicken ceaser salad?
Current vegetarians: Would you eat artificially grown meat which didn't involve the slaughter of an animal?
Well those are my questions. Fire away with your answers. I'm looking forward to meat grown on a stick so I can stop killing delicious cows and pigs and so on. |
