if anyone can give me some information on what to do please please....i could use your help 
my boyfriend is american and his current E2 visa expires on Aug 15...he has taken a new contract that doesnt begin until sept 1....
how can he get a new E2 for the new job? can he do it here in korea? extend visa??
and if he goes to america in between for 5 days how does he get E2 visa there?
recruiters havent been very helpful and he had planned to stay in country until the last minute and now we need to figure out what to do...
can he return on tourist visa and then get E2 visa while here? or go to japan to get it?? |

Since the jobs are NOT concurrent he will have to get a new visa.
Since he HAS had a prior E2 he CAN do a visa run (to Japan or elsewhere) to obtain said visa.
He just needs to ensure that he has all the required documents for a new E2 application. |

thanks....
so if he goes to america is it possible for him to come back on tourist visa and then run to japan to get new E2?
he does have the crim check and med check and new contract......
i ask because he is only going to america for 4 or 5 days and wont have alot of time to process visa if necessary....
can he attend orientation on tourist visa and then get E2 visa in japan before beginning work? |
