More power to anyone who can liberate $50,000 from dumb pet owners and advance science. But me thinks this woman would be better served by having a human child and transferring her need to be a mommy on a real human.

Maybe she should take a page out of that South African post the other day and ask for contributions to pay for shipping a dog home. I thought that showed remarkable....something.

I always love ESL teachers who can't live without a pet but then never consider they'll have to move it home in a year or two. Only then do they realize the time and expense.

No disrespect to cats, but I suspect the percentage of potential Cat Ladies who end up eaten by their 27 cats is exceptionally high among ESLers.

Pets are an incredible self-indulgence for anyone in their 20s or 30s. And for ESLers, having pets is just remarkably selfish.

I agree. And nothing is worse than a neighbor with a yappy dog left alone all day and night in a little officetel.

MAJOR DEVELOPMENT

Not only is this woman a dog lover, she is almost certainly the MORMON SEX SLAVE LADY

You younguns may not remember this story. Years ago a woman kidnapped a Mormon missionary and kept him chained to a bed as her sex slave. Very Happy Presumably it was the white shirt. Possibly the attractions of a virgin? A non-smoking, non-drinking virgin?

Read about it here: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080809/ap_on_re_us/cloned_dogs_mormon_hostage
