I want to open a new bank account with SC. Does the people in the Itaewon branch (I'm assuming there is one) speak English? Also, how long does it take to have an international atm card issued? |

Is the SC a bank from Hong Kong. I was on vacation in Hong Kong and I saw several SC banks. |

I opened an account recently at the Nambu Terminal branch - one of the tellers there speaks perfect English. In addition to the documents already mentioned, I needed my UK driver's license and a certificate of employment (I guess the documents needed may depend on which type of account you want).
The savings account I opened pays over 5% interest and is instant access - still a relatively rare thing in Korea. |
