Following on from another thread, I was thinking of going out and buying a 2nd hand bike tomorrow from a store a friend told me about near Hanti Station. I'm going to have a look anyway, but I'm tallish (184cm) so I suspect I might not find something big enough.
I looked on the internet and saw some decent prices on gmarket (390000 for a decent looking Trek). I don't really want to buy a bike off the internet cos I want to test ride it first. Can anyone recommend a physical store in Seoul, preferably Gangnam area?
Thanks |

I had a look round various bike shops in Gangnam a few months ago. There is a Trek dealership near Yeoksam Station and a Cannondale shop in Seolleung both near where I live.
I was looking for a good road bike. I am 6'2" and the frames were tiny, like 50cm.
I ended up shipping my (expensive) Cannondale road bike from the UK. For what it is worth, the Cannondale dealership here has been pretty helpful in terms of repairs and servicing as I am currently cycling in excess of 350 miles a week and require that on a regular basis.
I am afraid it is going to be pot luck to find anything half decent at a reasonable price. It is like buying trousers and shoes here. I do not understand why there is a glut of tall men but a dearth of said products which will fit! |
