Since drug taking is not allowed at the Olympics, it should be outlawed completely. (or totally legalized.. either way I don't care)
As such, why isn't there 100% drug testing for all athletes? I realise certain things are allowed with certain sports/games and not others, but surely it is not an in-affordable expense. In fact any country who introduced this during 'their' Olympics could probably gain all kinds of extra media attention for their 'efforts'.
China is spending 40 billion dollars plus billions more of expenses on the Olympics, why don't they introduce drug testing for every athlete? It'd probably only cost a couple of million; a tiny expense compared to the investment they're making.
Would I be wrong if I thought that it was because China has a hell-load of drugged up athletes? If so, what about previous Olympics? Did Greece bother to drug up a hell load of athletes to get a good medal score?? Probably not: They probably didn't want to damage the world's opinion of the Olympics: is that all it is though?
Also why don't sports like baseball drug-test everyone? They surely have the resources.
