Any bank will accept wired money, it just depends on the cost. Citibank might have some perks since they're a US bank. Currency rate ALWAYS takes effect. KEB is the leading bank in catering to expats in Korea - might also want to check with them:

You can do a wire transfer through Citibank if you have a US checking account (and subsequent online banking account) to Korean bank, just incurs a fee. See this: https://online.citibank.com/US/JRS/pands/detail.do?ID=WireTransfers

If you mean that you want to transfer money from your own bank account in America to your own bank account in Korea, then you need to contact your bank in America. You cannot start the transfer process from any bank in Korea, it starts with the bank in America. Some US banks will allow you to start a wire transfer by fax or online, but Bank of America makes you actually visit their branch (in America)
If you mean that your want your friend or family in America to wire transfer money to your Korean Bank account, then you need to give your friend or family the information about your account (Bank name, SWIFT code, address, phone number, your account number). Then they must start that transfer by contacting their bank in America. Again, the transfer process must start at the bank in America.
If you mean that you want to have friends or family send you money immediately and you don't have bank accounts, then use western union. Their website is slow but seems to have locations in Korea. But again, the person in America starts the process. Western Union is usually much more expensive that doing the wire transfer from bank to bank. |
