You need to fill out the application form, which can be found here:

You don't need a copy of your contract. You will need some information from your employer, i.e. the name of your guarantor, his phone number, address. As well as your address in Korea. You will need passport sized photos. They don't need to be authentic pictures, photo booth jobs will do. You will need money.

Do you need to stay overnight? If so, you should ask your employer to book a hotel for you.

The tourist information desk at the airport is excellent. They will give you a specific map on how to find the embassy and explain how to get to the embassy if you like. Pretty straightforward.

If I am not mistaken, all Japan visa runs are now an overnight experience. Rather than a hotel, try a capsule. I hear they are interesting. I would have loved to done that once, but now I am a father and husband, and don't think the capsule would work out well with the family.

There's a great hostel in Fukuoka called the Fukuoka Khaosan. The bus system in Fukuoka is pretty good so I suggest asking the Tourism place about that to get around. the ride from the hostel to the consulate is far, but its doable, you just need to get to Hakata Station.

A night out in Fukuoka is also fun.

I stayed at Khaosan also. It's like a 5 min walk from Hakata Eki. Excellent place to stay.

you're bringing your ARC??

I think you need to turn that into immi when you leave - it might even be a problem if you don't -
