Just answer the phone and you will pass! Korea is desperate for teachers, I can't say I have ever had a pass or fail phone interview here, it's more of a when can you start!

Did they take you on as a customer? I guess if think before answering each question and show that you are excited about teaching everything will go well? Smile

I was offered many jobs by footprints. Unfortunately (or not) they never listened to a word I said regarding location, so I decided to go with a recruiter that took on board my requests for a coastal location.

Good luck!

I wonder if everyone experienced what the earlier post experienced? Confused I guess this is a good reason to use more than one recruiter when starting out?

I had an interview with footprints about 2 weeks ago and was accepted into their program. They asked me about my travel experience, job experience and the specific questions they asked were about projects that I successfully completed and to talk about an experience i've had with mentoring or training someone.
I talked about how I managed an office in my firm and some of my accomplishments with some of the projects I was given. The guy I talked to was really nice and went into detail about the services they offer and the history of their company. It was really easy and nothing to stress over, just be nice and enthusiastic and you shouldn't have a problem.

Good luck!

Yeah I had an interview with them late last year and can second Sarah's reply here. I got "accepted" or whatever, but in the end I chose to find a school myself after coming to Korea and that worked out nicely.

They asked about your experiences mentoring, what has been the most experience for you when working with other people, how did you work through it? They asked me to think of a challanging time in my work career where I was able to assess a problem and overcome it, etc. It was actually really easy. Like the previous poster said, as long as you sound enthusiastic and speak well, you'll be fine. Nothing to stress over!

Breath, if you don't, you may die and therefore not be accepted into footcunts.

There are many job openings in Korea. If you have a problem with one recruiter then find another. SERIOUSLY. Don't let a recruiter pressure you or give you crap of any kind.

Many recruiters have an "interview." They ask standard interview questions and whether you have international experience (perhaps they want to estimate how long you will stick around, who knows).

Just answer honestly and don't accept a substandard offer.
