So my crappy, barely workable free internet has seemed to have clunked out.
I don't know what caused it, but when I do get the thing to connect I can get a whopping 0.02kb/s for a few minutes before it shuts off and forces me to reconnect (physically) in order to return it to it's 0.02kb/s state. Normally I'd just assume it was about time to start paying for my own internet, but of all the internet related problems I've had in Korea before this one, all of them were the fault of software on my computer.
I don't surf Korean websites or go anywhere virus ridden (aside from downloading torrents via mininova), but I still think something slipped in.
I ran AVG, HijackThis and AdAware. They all turned up nothing.
While I'm sitting at work with a USB flash drive and nothing to do, does anyone have any software recommendations for troubleshooting this internet problem?
Is anyone else having / had similar problems?
Thanks. |

| Did you post your HJT log on a tech support forum? If not, are you absolutely sure it turned up nothing? |

You are aware that a number of Korean ISPs are having significant difficulty today with DNS servers.
It is so bad in fact that I was unable to connect to any site outside of Korea from work today (Korean (sites located in Korea) sites connected just fine).
