When I get over there (still in the planning phases) I'm looking for a great place to buy a guitar new or used for pretty cheap. Are there any shops I should look into?
Let's say Central Seoul.
Now, Anyang or Bundang.
Thanks everyone! |

run a search on Nakwon (or Nagwon) Arcade. It's near Insadong in downtown Seoul. Several music shops under one roof, and a bunch more in the area around there |

Careful if you go to Nagwon. The place is filled with used car salesmen if you get what I mean. |

Yo, PM Harpeau, he sell guitars and has his own shop in Gireum (line 4).
I like your last line because it can mean "you guys have no idea how much help you have been, it helps alot" or "you guys suck and didn't give me shit for info, you have no clue." |

I can't PM anyone yet, rules and regualtions are keeping me down. Once I get to that point where I can, I will definitely PM that dude. |

Definitely check out Nagwon Sahm-ga (Sahm = 3). Huge, gigantic, mammoth concrete building with like 6 floors of instruments. Definitely shop around in there though as you'll get like 5 different prices for the same thing.
Also, if you're in Anyang and want an acoustic, go to the Bomgye station, go out of exit 8 and look across the street. You should see a Sandpresso and next to it a little shop called "Music Imm." I bought a standup bass there last year. They've got some guitars, cellos, violins, etc.
Another place to go is in Haebongchon, which if you go to Noksapyeong station on the 6 line, go out of exit 2, and walk straight (angling left along the kimchi pots) following the road there past Indigo on the right and Phillies on the left, you'll eventually see Deeleebob on the left side. The owner is Lance and he's got some good suppliers, so if you want to order something through him chances are he can get it.
Hope this helps! |

Yamaha shop in Sincheon, you can walk there from Hongik University station. Go out Exit 4. Walk straight, the road will curve to the right, past the Big Rinnai Building, keep walking, about 500 meters? I don't really know, but if you are at Sinchon Rot, you have gone too far. It is on your right. Not a far walk.
I was there in March and picked up a pretty nice 5-String bass for only 370,000 won. No haggling the salesman at all. This bass would cost me at least 600.00 USD back home. I think he just wanted to get rid of it because nobody here is interested in 5 Strings. You should really check it out. They also sell pianos, drums, keyboards, and loads of other stuff, not a very big shop, but a good one. There is also a Yamaha shop in Bucheon right near City Hall. It's really nice as well. Yamaha makes great instruments. |
