There is no severance at some private universities rendering some of these misers rather uncompetitive especially ones with minute apartments, Hun liike directors, no overtime pay during winter/summer breaks and tutorings prices that not even many Chinese would pay a foreigner. And there are special laws set up my a few flunky Korean congressmen? to allow them to be beyond these severance laws according to one insider with political friends. Cheapskates. But remember there are still a reasonable number of universities that do pay.
