With fridges, I would highly advise against second hand unless:

- they deliver it
- promise to take it away/reimburse you if:
a) it starts to smell putrid, like many of them do
b) it is too noisy
c) there is a crack in the insulation

The fridges I looked at were at best left in the junkyard. Never pay more than 100,000 for a used fridge, no matter what. People get rid of fridges because they are more expensive to repair than to just buy a new one. Chances are, you are getting a rotten fridge. Never buy one from a second hand store, especially if you notice any dents on it. I guess you could gamble with getting one from a foreigner, but then there's the hassle of moving it.

I'd suggest buying a new one at HiMart. I bought one for 300,000 which included delivery. It is smallish, but definitely enough for my needs. I've heard you can buy brand new ones on the net for 200,000ish. But you'll need a Korean to help you out with that one. Just my advice, as I just got a fridge a couple of days ago. The old beat up one that came with my apartment is sitting outside... so it doesn't stink up my place. A terrible, choking, chemical smell which no amount of cleaning will get rid of.
