I'm trying to find a few things in Seoul:
1. Somewhere that serves a western breakfast. Waffles, eggs, bacon, etc. Does it exist?
2. I have been told about the existence of a market that has a lot of old army surplus gear (including a lot of Korean War-era stuff). Does anyone know where it is or any other details? |

1. All American Diner - Itaewon next to Mcdonalds
2. Namdaemun market has a few - but they're spread out all over the place around the city. |

There's a place in Kangnam, a Canadian brewery. Big Rock? I think that's what it is called. Sunday brunch is spot on. |

There's a Butterfinger Pancakes with western breakfast in Apgujung and Bundang. |

1. The puffin cafe in Hannamdong has everything for a nice breakfast, but it can be pricey since you have to put together a couple of orders to make a full breakfast (eggs and pancakes, for example). They do offer refills on the coffee, which is nice.
2. There are many army shops in front of the Yongsan Station. Down those big rainbow lit stairs on the front side, and across the street. Never been in them, but walked past several army stores. |

Suji's in Itaewon does the most fantastic brunches. Best western style breakfast menu I've seen here. A little pricey but totally worth it. Their bacon is crispy and their omlettes and delicious and the pancakes are huge. I haven't tried the french toast but it looks fantastic as well. There is always a waiting list, you'll wait about 30 minutes at the most, but it's totally worth it and you know why they always have a wait.
It's on the end of the main road where the blue arch goes over the road, on the second floor and has a big yellow sign. It's actually closest to Noksapyeong subway station.

Unless they have changed dramatically in the last few months, I have to disagree. The brunch there is very plasticky and fake. Nothing seems fresh or even freshly cooked. It's somewhat cheap but I wouldn't go back for the brunch (beer is great though).
There is a very nice place that does brunches between Gangnam and Yeoksam Station. If you come out of Gangnam station exit 1 walk straight until you hit the first set of lights. Turn right and the place is about 50m down the street on your right. It's called "I'm Fresh" and has American, Continental and Mexican brunches. I've never tried the brunches but their other food is excellent so I presume they are good. Prices are cheap too. You can get a huge omelette with lots of good fillings and French toast or pancakes on the side for 8,000. Good salads and sandwiches are 6,000. Highly recommended if you live around Gangnam. |
