Hi all,
I looked this problem up on search but couldn't find anything.
I'm currently finishing up a 6 month contract with a private elementary school and have been thinking about moving unto a public school job. I'm currently on an E-2 visa with an expiration date of March 2009.
Would I have to get a new CRC to renew my visa to work at GEPIK/EPIK/SMOE, even though at the Immigration website says:
"In addition, those with the E-2 visa issued after Dec 15 2007 no longer need to submit the criminal record certificate to reissue the same type of visa while staying in Korea."
Which applies to me since I handed it on in March 2008.
I've been told by my old recruiter that GEPIK/EPIK/SMOE does not work with Immigration for getting visas for their teachers so I would need a new CRC to get a new E-2.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks. |
