edit: I figured the search page for this would come up, but no dice. Anyway, just search "quitting smoking".

Go to your doctor and ask him/her for Zyban or Quonem. They aren't available in Korea, they use a Korean version/generic. If they know what you are talking about then ask for 10 days supply.

I was smoking for 20 years and gave up last month, within 10 days. The doctor gave me 7 or 8 days worth of medicine but I could feel I needed more.

You don't give up immediately, the drug is an inhibitor I think, that gradually weans you off the nicotine addiction and makes you forget your habit.

How would a lazer and smoking go together?

I've said it once, I'll say it a million times...

Forget drugs and patches. Pick up Allen Carr's "The Easy Way to Quit Smoking". Read it. Quit smoking.

It's been 3 1/2 years now, and I KNOW I'll never go back (and that's after +12 years of more than a pack a day). I NEVER have cravings, even when I'm in a bar and having a few drinks.

Seriously, what have you got to lose? The price of 3 packs of smokes, and a few hours of your time? If it doesn't work, oh well. If it does...? You can thank me later. Wink

If you want to stop, just stop.

If you can't just stop, it means you don't really want to stop.

Alan Carr didn't work for me, but a few years later (two months ago, in fact), I quit cold turkey for medical reasons.

I used nicarrette successfully after a few tries. I had smoked for 9 years.

It helps to have friends that don't smoke as you can limit the temptations you encounter.

People quit smoking for life all the time. You can do it too. Good luck.

Chantix is sold as Champix in Korea and is less expensive than quoted above. I think it was about 15,000 Won per pack which will last you a week. Normal prescription is for 12 weeks if IRC.

You have to get a prescription for it. Many doctors won't know it. 챔픽스 is the hangeul for it.

Thanks. That's exactly Champix in hanguel. Oh, I chewed gum so many times and quit so many times using gum, but it's a big waste.
