For those of you who don't read the BBC website, there's a Have Your Say section for most news stories where readers can comment - usually to vent their spleens about whatever thing it is that's been bugging them for years, relevant or not.
The comments most worthy of mockery are collected in a rather good blog site (categorised by topic such as Delusions of Grandeur and Credulous Nincompoops) at spEak Youre bRanes.
Hours of entertainment, tempered by the realisation that these comments were actually written by some of our fellow humans.
There is an equally hilarious sub section called The T**t-O-Tron, which randomly generates shockingly believable comments, for example:

Are leftists and liberals really hip on yob culture? And how would that relate to the EU? My only guess would be that yobs might be hostile to the United Kingdom as a political entity, preferring to identify themselves with England. So, left-leaning Europhiles could be using yob culture as a battering ram against the UK, in order to weaken the central government thus bolstering the influence of the EU.

Christ almighty, the pitfalls of skimming an article. If I were given to the use of emoticons, I think you all know which one I'd have here. |
