Windows Movie Maker.
Included as part of windows (XP) and free.
Learning curve is about 5 minutes and does what you are asking.

| Actually with Windows Movie Maker I haven't been succesful at all as when you bring across your vid it gets chopped into so many little portions that you have to stitch them back together again - I never got thru the learning curve. Instead I p2p'd a cracked vid program so I could make things work. |
