Bit of a strange one but here goes

My mum has asked for a PDA for her birthday (to be used in NZ).

It doesn't need phone function or anything. The main functions need to be able to easily sync with outlook 2007, be simply to use (imputing meetings, deadlines etc) and to be small.

It would be good to have wifi and text reader (pdf, txt or doc) but not needed.

I don't want to spend to much (say a max of 300,000, but would be happy with less).

The most important thing is it has to be simple to use.

I was looking at a 8gig itouch jailbreak it here and then send it over all set up.

Ideas?

I would suggest your mom go over to dick smith's, and get a Palm. The basic ones go for less than NZ$200, and there wouldn't be any warranty problems. They could also show her how to use it (I found the staff at both their Palmy and Wanganui branches to be very helpful)

Hi there,

I have both the Palm TX and the Ipod Touch...while I really like both I think the Palm TX is still slightly better for the features you mentioned. The TX has wifi and syncs easily with Outlook. The screen is easier to read as it is slightly bigger than the ipod touch.
