I encourage you to try, but I don't think you'll find what you're looking for. I tried several shoe stores and had my (Korean) girlfriend call lots of places.
It turns out Shinsegae in Myeong-dong carries ECCO shoes. Hopeful but also skeptical, we went. Turns out that they did have those shose, but only ECCO golf shoes. The woman working there was surprised to find out that ECCO made shoes for purposes other than golf.
Rockport is not as good, but it's as best a substitute I've been able to find in Korea.
If you find ECCO shoes in Korea, I beg of you to PM me and give me details. Seriously, if you can succeed where I have failed, you will be my hero and my feet's savior. |

I found Ecco shoes on ebay and shoebuy.com. I was in Korea when I did so. I got them for good prices, and didn't have to pay imported-luxury-goods prices on them as I did when I bought my Rockports at Hyundai dept. store (they're not nearly as comfortable as Eccos, either).
Some years ago, the Myeong-dong ABC Mart had a couple older Ecco models on sale upstairs. Haven't seen them since.
Getting them from an international site is probably your best bet. |
