My Japanese wife and I are thinking of going to Seoul for two nights. That means one full day and two part days.

I spend a year in the south-east of Korea in 2005, so I've been to Seoul before, but my wife's never been to the land of the morning calm (what a misnomer!!!!). Anyway, I figure with only one full day, we should be able to get Gyeongbok-gung, Biwan gardens, and maybe Changdeok-gung in. I've been to the Japanese prison (Seodaemun)... but I think it's best of my wife doesn't go there. Wink

Does anyone have any other suggestions? How about hotels?

Thanks for any help!

(this could be a useful thread for people until it gets buried and someone else asks the same question in a few months!)

If you like museums, Seoul Museum of History is good. It's in Gwanghwamun, close to Gyeongbokgung palace.

I can't recommend a hotel without knowing your budget or what kind of hotel you're looking for.
