I have a notarized CBC but I still need to go to the US embassy for the apostile. I know I have to sign some kind of affidavit.
Does anyone know that this affidavit is supposed to say?
Do I write it up myself or do they already have a form? |

They'll have you write something like
"I do not have a criminal record. See attached:"
Or at least, that's what they told me to write when I went. |

Now I am hearing that the embassy can only authenticate an FBI check. All I have is a state check.
Can anyone confirm/deny this? |

Where are you hearing this?
People have gotten affidavits for state checks. It's ONLINE state checks that no longer pass muster. |
