I've been living here in S. K. with the wife for a year now. Her contract is up and she wants to stay at least another year. I however could not possibly stand another 12 months here without having something to do.
Here is my problem. I am well aware of people doing privates for some extra cash, however that is not an option for me as I do not want to jeopardize my wife's contract. I am however interested in going back to school to get my Degree.
I have done the research into accredited on-line Universties but I am still not sure as to which one is the best bang for my buck. I am also not sure if it would just be easier to apply to a Korean University that may be considered as reputable with their degrees as back in North America. Does anyone have any information or experience that could point me in the general direction? Any help would sure be appreciated!

Don't bother with Korean degrees, unless you're studying Tae-Kwon-Do for phys-ed.

Some schools to consider for online ED. degrees are:

Ball State University
University of Missouri MU Direct
University of Michigan's online program
Shennadoah University (sp?)
University of Illinois online

I also recommend Indiana University's program. They don't have TESOL, but you can study Language Education (my major) or Instructional Technology. Indiana has one of the best education programs in the nation.

More info here if interested. http://education.indiana.edu/disted
