so im kinda thinking about getting a psp from yongsan and want to get it modded. just want to know what experience people have had in yongsan, where to buy one, how much i should expect to pay and how easy it is to get someone in yongsan to do the mod for me.

Was up there a littler while ago with a mate who got a psp slim modded with some extra things and a 4GB mem stick- think he paid about 270,000 or something i cant remember exactly.
It was from one of the green road side booths after you go through the tunnel. It works perfectly.
I have one i modded myself, and if u are a bit comp savvy you can save about 40,000 on the mod cost and do it yourself.....but may risk bricking it.

Get one. They're the coolest thing ever and games are soo fkn sweet. Watching movies and everything plus all the extra hacked stuff you can do with them is amazing.

i have a modded psp slim, played it all the time, then i got a ds, honestly I would say you are far better getting as ds, the games are so much more fun and modding is piss easy

that said, dont think about trying to mod it yourself, you can easily brick your psp, granted there is a de bricker out there, you would be far better paying x amount for someone who knows what they are doing to sort you out.

no idea about prices for modding, should be easy to find someone who will do it for you

How do you mod a DS? I bought one just for playing FF4 (yes, worth it). Now I'm finished so I'm curious. What kinds of mods are there?

Same with PSP, is it just the slim mod or what?

The DS is not modded itself only the use of game chips is replaced by a chip like the R4 revolution chip or M3 etc (you can buy in Yongsan for about 40,000 plus memory card). These chips look the same as a game chip but hold a 1+ gigabyte memory card (MicroSD). The games then are downloaded off the net via torrents or Rom sites. Search for DS roms and you'll have pretty every game availablemade up to this week Wink

So maybe a bit dishonest as you'll never pay for a game again....buuuuut......

I've got a modded PSP for sale if you're interested. Old model, but in good condition as it's rarely been out of its hardcase. I bought it for commuting but find that I usually just read or listne to my iPod instead.

Pm for details.

I got one yesterday too.

The modding allows you to play games you download.

Check the Afterdawn forums for more info.

check your firmware through your PSP. Go into System or something and find it. not sure of the menu setup for SLims. If it says M33 or something similar youll have custom firmware....

psp-hacks.com will have more useful info than this board.
