I never post in this forum, but I need your help.
I want to buy a Playstation 2 or Xbox, and am not sure where the best place to buy one it. We aren't die-hard gamers, but enjoy playing, and will be using it as our DVD player.
I could order one off Ebay, but I don't know whether the risk is worth it... though the prices are great.
I also saw some on Gmarket, but if they are Korean ones, will I be able to play only Korean games?
We plan on downloading most of our games...and it needs to be modded for that, right? I can do it in Yongsan I hear. Not sure where that is in Seoul exactly (don't live there), but when I do get a system, I'll find out then.
So, do any of you have old systems you want to sell? Or can give me recommendations on where to buy?
Thanks. |

Yongsan, yes. Everything electronic you could ever want is in Yongsan. It's a major subway/train stop, so it shouldn't be hard to find. It's not in a mall or anything convenient like that so finding a store for what you want might take a little walking around. There are usually foreigners there and anyone whose been there before should be able to give you simple directions to where you need to go.
Most of the places that will be selling PS's and Xbox's will be able to do the modding for you. In fact, I would highly recommend that you get it done at the same place, probably cheaper.
It's a great place, though a little crazy and overwhelming at times. Haggling is encouraged, but don't be surprised if everyone is offering about the same price. Definitely talk to a couple people (each area has like 30 little shops all selling basically the same things) before you agree on a price. You can usually get little things thrown in for free like a controller or something like that.
Good luck |

Thank you!
Sounds similar to the electronic marts in China. Should be an adventure finding one. |
