Any suggestions on a good korean book to help me learn. I know i can do it online, but I'd like to have a book to just take to a bar and look over while i have a drink. Suggestions? |

Buy a book that teaches Koreans how to learn English.
If you find a good one it has far more information about why the grammar behaves the way it does etc whereas the Korean textbooks are pretty useless to learn from in general unless you already can read, write, speak and understand Korean.
I also quite like the series of books which are either film scripts or famous stories which have the English written on one page and the Korean written on the other sothat you can read the Korean version and whenever a word troubles you, then you can just flip over to the English side and find out what it means. |

I'm just starting out as well, but the book I've had the most luck with so far is "Survival Korean" |

i can read and know a minimal amount of vocab, but i can't just read a book full of translations. I have a small book that enables me to find out the basics (i actually never used this book, but i do atleast have it) so i guess i was looking more for an introductory 'textbook' style book... |
