|
|
I haven't been in my Korean job longer than two weeks, and they have tried half a dozen ways to get me to work extra time, stay much later on special days, work an extra class that would get out three hours after I should get out from work, and come in on Saturdays - all outside my contract. No wet blankets should come to Korea, and you should know how to say "NO" and stick to it.
I am wondering what your best story is of some crazy things your Hagwan boss tried to have you do outside of your contract, and how you handled it. The crazy the better. I doubt anyone can outshine my boss, but then again, I may be wrong. |

It was on one of the monthly food outings, first food then bar......
Most Korean schools/hogwons will do this quite often..... |

A friend's boss was sending his car insurance bills to his teacher's apartment. When they brought the bills to him and asked him about them, he said 'It's ok, those are normal bills for Korean apartment'. So they paid for his car insurance until a Kyopo came to work for the shcool, and read the bills. The boss feigned total surprise when confronted, and acted like he had no clue how this could have happened. Classic. Moral: learn how to read Korean! |

Not from his friend. He probably can't even turn on a computer let alone e-mail an image. |

About 2 years ago my boss (previous boss I should say) introduced me to one of her daughters. We really hit it off and I planted my flag on her a few days later. |

Are you sure it wasn't a metrosexual that made your balls shiver and shake? |
