I've got an EPIK interview soon. Does anyone know what type of questions they ask in their telephone interviews?
Any help appreciated. |

I wouldn't really even worry about it,
THey are going to ask you general interview questions like why are you doing this, what kidn of kids would you like to teach, is there any experience that you think would make you suitable for this position.
From what I've heard of other epikers though is that is varies greatly on who you talk to.
You don't really have to worry about it, easy as pie, and the takes about as long as eating one. |

CDI asked more questions than EPIK. In fact, the gist of it all for the EPIK interview was did I think I would like the school and contract conditions. |

Thanks for the info. I realise most Korean telephone interviewers are just checking your speech and accent (and probably manners). But I've been away for a while and would appreciate knowing if there's any specific questions (curve balls) from EPIK.
Many thanks. |

The interview lasted about 4 minutes. They asked me several general questions. Here are some I can remember:
Why do you want to teach in Korea?
What will you do if you become homesick?
What do you like to do in your free time (hobbies)?
What grades would you like to teach (elementary, middle, or secondary)?
What did you do at your previous jobs that would help you as a teacher (not in those exact words though)?
Do you have any questions you would like to ask me?
If you are articulate and polite they will probably hire you. |

Aside from the normal questions mentioned, they also asked me about my fiance (he's Korean-American) and his line of work, where he went to school and they also asked me about his siblings and their jobs. I was told to expect some strange prodding and that's exactly what happened to me. My interview was in person though, not on the phone. It lasted around 25 minutes. |
