|
|
I'm going back to the states in a few weeks to renew my E2 visa (should I have a job by then - but that's another issue). My family and friends don't exactly live near any Korean Consulate, and since I'll be doing a bit of travelling while I'm home, I have to give myself travelling time for my consulate visit(s) as well.
I'm wondering: what exactly is the process for obtaining a new visa? If I have all my documents and get there when it opens, will they stamp it that day or will I need to make a return visit in a week? Or is completely pointless to try to expect anything will happen? |

It all depends on the consulate you are going to.
Some provide overnight service.
Occasionally you can get same day service.
Sometimes it takes 3-5 WORKING days.
This is assuming you already have a visa confirmation number and do NOT need the consular interview.

If you already have the visa issuance number then you need no documents. Just the number. But you can not get the number unless you already have a job. You need documents from your new job to get a Visa.
So, get a job first, then take it from there. |
