Investigators say they believe IBM Korea gave cash to LG IBM, a subsidiary, and to Winsol, a business partner, to be used as bribes in connection with equipment supply contracts. At the time of the raid, prosecutors said that the allegations were only that; allegations. But a week after investigators burst into IBM's offices, three persons were arrested in the case: an employee at the state-run KBS broadcasting network, a retired Korean Navy officer and an official at the recently privatized telecommunications company KT.
