I've been teaching at a public school for 2 years and plan to renew for a third. I'm a Canadian and have been contributing to the national pension plan. If and when I choose to leave Korea am I able to cash out my pension contributions or are there time limits for doing so? I've contacted the Pension office but am waiting on their reply. Any insight would be welcomed. Thanks. |

You have to cash it out before you have made 10 years of contributions (or you become vested and have to wait till you retire and get a pension).
You are expected to cash it out when you leave Korea but I am not aware of any time limit for doing so.
