This is rather sad. Russia went to its Asian allies, hoping they would give support for it grabbing a bit of a border state, purely to protect a break-away republic. Hmmm. So China, which probably has 40 areas along the Russian border that have the potential to be a breakaway republic if they think the Russians will give them a better deal, is going to be keen on Russia's lil plan?

The article says the EU is considering sanctions and China is asking for an international conference to discuss the territories. Both are correct responses to Russia's actions and should be fully supported by the US. |
