What the f*k is it with these retarded pencils? What's wrong with a bit of lead encased in wood? Not enough of a contraption? Why on earth the fumbling around every 2 minutes to get the spindly lead out of the case, to attempt to get it in the bloody pencil thing, to fail at that, to drop it on the floor, to pick it up, to finally get it in the bloody pencil thing, to go and break it off completely again within the next two minutes. To do it all over again. The futility of the non logic is confounding me so. |

after teaching at a public middle school in america for 4 years, i'll take that any day of the week instead of students getting up every two minutes to sharpen their pencils in the 1965 made sharpener that sounds like a wood chipper that hasn't been oiled in decades. |

That is similarly futile and confounding. There are ways around it, I'm certain. |

When I was a kid we'd feel real special if we were using one of those Bic mechanical pencils. They were big in 1990. It took all of three seconds to refill them, so I don't get the deevolution, either.
What really gets me is every student has a pencil case but half of them don't have pencils. They're writing with a yellow marker. Everyone has pencil cases but only three kids have erasers. |

Maybe they're actually pen cases. |
