I've been ranting about this for months on here.

Finally.

Anyone who signs with GEPIK now has holidays bumped from 14 days to 20.

Housing allowance bumped from a measly W300,000 to W400,000.

It's almost like a job now.

To answer the other poster (are GEPIK positions filled), reading the above changes, WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Hell no.

I'm talking contracted vacation days. I had 22 off for winter vacation alone. I'm talking vacation days in your contract man.

And this isn't retroactive, right? I recall some other amendments that were made a few months ago, requiring us to teach other subject classes if the need arises. They gave me a form to sign agreeing to the new amendments. Wonder if I'll see a similar form this time? Question

Retroactive is not in the Korean vocabulary, unless applied to how much money a foreigner owes a Korean.

No it's for new contracts only.

Wow you signed that crap? Dude they can't amend a contract you've already signed....

I didn't sign it.

That was for last year's contract. The new clause was included in this year's contract. I may go for GEPIK again next year after all...

Yeah same. Have 2 months left and I've been offered a re sign. But scared they'll back out at the last minute and hire a Filipino.
