|
|
| My washer stopped full of water and made a great deal of music. I keep pressing buttons trying to get it to spin out, but it just keeps adding more water. Obviously, I can't read Korean. Can anyone what the word looks like for the washer to spin out and drain? Thanks |

| I tried that and nothing. There are like four sets of words. Anything else that needs pressed in combination. Your help is sincerely appreciated. |

| Can you post either the button labels or the model of your machine here? |

We have two, and they both have 탈수 on 'em. The way it works with the one I use the most is you power it on first(전원), press the spin(탈수) button, and then start(동작). All three of those buttons are on both of our machines. One is about seven years old and the other one is less than two. One is Samsung and the other is LG. Pics definitely would help.

Also, I'm not sure what happened in the first place. Did you shut the lid after it started? On our older model, it will yak if we forget to close it(it's top-loading). It'll also yak when it's finished. I suggest trying to run it through the regular way one more time as the spin cycle is usu used when you want to get rid of a little bit of excess water, not a whole machine full of it. |

Thanks for all of the interest and help. Special thanks to Denverdeath as your instructions worked perfect. I am in your debt. The thought of my hogwan boss coming over to show me was not a pleasant one, and after three weeks here, I haven't yet found someone else I would impose upon.
I don't know what happened. Maybe the load was too heavy. The same thing happened last time I washed my towels, but I managed just to keep trying buttons til it drained. This time the water got to the top of the washer, and I was bailing it out so it didn't go over. I was afraid to keep trying.
I just had my first Korean class this weekend, so hopefully, I will soon be able to read the instructions myself. |

Good to hear you got it sorted. No debt owed. Just a hint: you can always power off the machine and it should go back to the default setting when restarted. Then you just hit 동작 again after you've put in the soap. Also, make sure you clean out the filters occasionally as that'll extend the life of your machine and the times between maintenance visits. Look around for them. Some are inside the drum(top-loading). Others are at the bottom of the machine. Others have a combination.
It could easily take one Korean class getting to know how to use the washing machine...maybe a whole course! I know that I still don't know all the functions. |
