Nobody in my school (including the VP), seems to be able to tell me when my vacation in February is. Does anyone else working in a public school (particularly Jeollanamdo) know when their vacation dates are yet? I was told that I get the whole month of February off, but nobody seems to be able to confirm it, and I'd like to buy my tickets sooner rather than later.

Generally the best thing to do in this kind of situation is to tell your co that you are going to book a ticket and write a letter requesting your vacation for those dates. Make sure you tell them that you have 48 hours to confirm your ticket. Get them to sign the paper confirming that you can have those days off.

Your school should have a calendar which lists all work days, festivals, exam periods, etc. If they don't, then you should talk to your co-teacher and determine how much vacation time you will have during the winter break and whether or not you will have to teach any camps. Every school is different, so one person's vacation dates may be different from yours.
