During Chusok, they want me to produce winter camp lesson plans.

That's 32 lesson plans in total for grade 3........

32 for grade 4

28 - grade 5

28 - grade 5

My current co-teacher is quite meticulous and I wouldn't put it past her to at least check every single lesson plan nearer the time.

She usually wants every lesson plan for whatever class, to have the same structure as the curriculum lesson plans e.g. with headings: Intro, Consolidation, Development, Review etc.

How would you make lesson plans for this camp?

I have lesson plans with a different heading structure from last year, and I have this year's special class/summer camp lesson plans, which are not as many as last years with the 'wrong' headings on them.

Should I just revise previous lesson plans with those headings and then produce more lesson plans with as scant information on them as possible?

I appreciate any good advice. Laughing

I've sussed it. I'll make virtually identical plans for grades 3/4 and grades 5/6. That way, I'll have half the work to do. Laughing

does she intend to help you teach the class? because if not and it's your class, plan your lessons the way you want them. i take suggestions from my co-teachers, which i'm grateful for, however the final decision falls on me

Well, we are on better terms now, so I'll do some brief lesson plans and when she asks for them nearer the time, I'll act surprised, apologize and say, 'You didn't say you wanted it this way for winter camp', which will be true. Laughing

When we fell out a whlie back the Principal asked for my regular lesson plans and special class plans to be written out in full, instead of in brief.

Anyway, I'll do the bare minimum and look apologetic. She'll be gone after those camps, because a new co-teacher will come in March.

The teachers are just about to start their weekly meeting, but today it's in our English classroom. Wait for the customary attempts at showing disrespect to the native teacher in the vain hope it will make themselves look above average. Embarassed

For sure!... and it's 'doubly' bad because Chuseok is a holiday. I've never done any work at home... ever.

Let me clarify, they don't want me to hand anything in, just spend my time at school during the 12th and 16th doing those lesson plans.

I will use my idea of keeping it brief and I will write lesson plans for each day of camp instead of doing 120 lesson plans!

Man, write one set of plans and do the same thing in every class. You can just make the language harder in the 5 grade. Seriously don't make it harder on yourself. If you try to make different lesson plans it takes forever and you will just conuse yourself in class.

My school wanted me submit the plans for club activites to them for the rest of the year. I gave them a topic for each day. When they asked for detailed plans, I looked confused and said that I never write out detailed plans early. I try to build off each previous class so I plan the next lesson after I complete this one. Seemed to make them happy.

I've worked hard all day long. I finished everything at about 4.10pm.

I came into a virtually empty school and I finished my winter camp lesson plans. I copied and pasted lots of my previous stuff.

The final document is 100 pages. Laughing

I will keep that safe for all future camps.

I've also planned for regular lessons, about 5 weeks in advance. I made some newer power points out of material I already had too.

I have 2 full weeks of after school class lesson plans ready before they resume on Sep 23rd. Because I'll have new students, I will use previous lessons again.

It's been a productive day. Laughing
