I believe there is a place in Seoul that is like a concentrated marketplace for bikes and scooteres. I think I have read about it but do not remember where it is, could anyone remind me? Also anyone know of any 125 cc bikes or scooters that has a higher than normal horse power? Thanks folks, appreciate any help.

Toegyero (pronounced "tway-gay-row") is where you want to head. The nearest subway station is Chungmuro. Bring a Korean friend who knows something about scooters.

I stumbled across a place in Seoul at the weekend that was full of motorbike showrooms. I think it was between Dongdaemun and Chungmuro stations. Just down the hill from the big Sofitel Ambassador Hotel.

Ya

the Honda CBR 125, feul injected

or

Daelim Roadwin VJF-i (also called the Roadwin R - injected) 125

Both can hit about 130-140km/h while most other 125s (non injected) hit about 105-120

The best non injected bike is probably the Daelim Roadwin 125 or 150 (basically a factory made over bore).

The Hyosung RX 125sm, RT125d or Comet 125 are all similar though.

You can't do much with a tiny 125 cc engine, so they even the cruisers have pretty much the same power band and horse power as the sport bikes and dirt bikes.

The only bike that seems to be any different is the Daelim VS Cruise 125. This bike usually has the lowest top speed (it really only hits 105 km/h unless it has been overbored). It has plenty of pep off the line though for a 125. The bike seems to have been tuned for longevity and slightly smoother acceleration at slow speeds.

You can also tweek your bike, high flow race air filter, low restriction tail pipe and you can have any 125 in the country over bored to 150cc for 100,000 won. This should give you some added kick (sucking back more feul though). I had a Hyosung RT125 with a Zero pipe and highflo air filter....she was pretty quick (and loud as shit).

If you really want power from a tiny 125, buy an Aprillia 2 stroke 125 race bike....they are as fast (or faster) than 250cc bikes.

BTW, seoulsucker and westport are talking about the same place. The motorbike/scooter market area runs from Chungmuro station west until almost Dongdaemun stadium.

There's a few Vespas in some smaller stores, but the main Vespa store is at the foot of the north end of Hannam bridge, just past the GS (I think) gas station. If you walk around the block in that neighbourhood you'll find about a dozen other scooter/motorbike shops. There's also a good used Vespa store near Haebangchon on the way up to Namsan:

And also another smaller used Vespa store by Samgakji station in the small street that runs parallel to the main road (west of the main road) going to Shingyongsan station. There's a few Lambrettas there. Nice machines, those.

I am a big guy over 6 foot and a little over wight, so I am not so much concerned with top speed as I am for something to get me going lol. I know a 125 cc isn't much my neighbor was almost as big a guy am I and could get to 50mph on a 75 cc scooter. So as long as it gets me around at 50 to 60 mph so maybe like 100 kmp I would be happy. Used is good and affordable is great too obviously. Any other suggestions are welcomed thanks for all the info.
