Pop star Rain, 26, may have to put his schedule on hold for a while after a U.S. entertainment firm filed a suit against him and his former agent.
Click Entertainment sued the singer and his former agency JYP demanding $40 million in compensatory damages after Rain's ``World Tour'' concerts in Hawaii, New York, Los Angeles and Atlanta were cancelled last year. Hawaii District Court has reportedly set Nov. 4 for the first hearing, when the singer himself is expected to appear.
Click claims it invested a large amount of money for the vocalist's Hawaii concert and the sudden cancellation not only hurt the firm financially but also its reputation.
JYP, the singer's agent until May 2007, said it signed a deal with another company which took charge of the concerts and Click's contract was with it.
Rain's representative said he is currently filming ``Ninja Assassin'' and so will ask for a postponement of the case. There were also rumors that Rain will send his attorney only, but Click spokesman said Rain had better appear in court. ``If he doesn't, I say there is pretty much a good chance that he will lose,'' he told media outlet Newsis.
Rain is working on a special album targeting Asia, while Ninja Assassin is scheduled to be released next year.

If "Rain" and "JYP" violated a contract, then, yes, they can be sued. |

Raise your hand if you think Korea will take it really well if Rain loses the case and totally not flip the *beep* out and blame America for everything that's wrong in the world.

Did they really think that a K-Pop fake-rapper would sell-out arenas in the US? REALLY? |

It amazes me when these celebrity types get in trouble and how we froth at the mouth waiting for the demise. Personally, never watched, listened to, or in anyway expressed one iota of interest in Rain so whetever will be will be... No, this reply does not constitute an iota of interest... |
