This is my second post on the subject. I still cannot figure out where to get Korean classes. I've heard that there are weekend classes that are roughly 100,000W for 3 months but don't know where to go or who to contact. Any info would be greatly appreciated! |

Mokdong is close to Sinchon/Ewha area. If you work at night (hagwon) you can take morning classes at Ewha/Yonsei/Sogang Uni and if you work during the day you can take evening classes at the same uni's
Cost a bit more - Ewha: about 500,000 for 10 weeks 3 x a week (2 hrs each time). That was the last time I looked at the cost though. It maybe different now. |

Ask your secretary to call the Yangchun-gu administrative office. They often run free Korean classes on Saturdays.
Do not, I repeat do not take classes in the mornings at Sogang/Ehwa/Yonsei while you're working full time. The work load is way too much. It nearly killed me, plus you will likely be put in a class full of Japanese and Chinese students, and they will make you look silly if you can't keep up. |

sookmyung uni do free classes on saturdays. 3-5pm. not the best but its free and will get you started.
follow the signs from sookmyung station and go up the hill to the uni buildings on the left. go up the steps and follow signs to lingua express. |

A good text book and 48 million Korean people. Give it a whirl. |

I was in mokdong until very recently, and found finding classes very difficult in that area. I ended up going to a hagwon in hongdae for a bit, but it was early sat mornings, and I liked friday nights too much for that to work.
Basically I lived in mokdong for a year, and didn't learn much korean aside from a few words from girls i dated, and co workers.
A good text book can be a good start, though I found that without a teacher giving me homework I often wasn't motivated to do much.
Good luck |
