Not just emergencies....

It doesn't always have to be an emergency when you call the number. You can of course get help in cases of fire, injury and natural disaster but also you can ask for help to find locations, get numbers and etc. Cool

Well, I don't mean to be critical, but...

oh okay yes I do. I do mean to be critical. Harshly.

That BBB service is shit. I've called it maybe half a dozen times, and not once have I ever got any help or service. I've been hung up on, I've been told that the volunteer person is in a meeting, and I've had a volunteer argue with me that what I needed help with in translation was not important enough for them to spend their time helping translate with.

I sincerely hope that if BBB 'volunteers' do commit to this new service in Jeollabukdo then they can actually find the time and motivation to commit seriously to following through on this commitment, and, I hope their organisers have effective proceedures in place to make sure quality assurance oversight measures are in effect, otherwise it'll just be another piece of bullshit Korean window-dressing in trying to impress how much Korea is supposedly looking after its poor foreign guests.

I got this thread's title mixed up with the brothel arrest one, and read "emergency brothel"?

Hmmm....

The seoul tourism line has been really helpful to me when I've called. The problem is they close around 5pm I think.
