My cable company changed the lineup of my channels and added Bloomberg TV (whoopee!). I now get that in addition to CNN, BBC World, Australia Network, NHK, CNBC, CCTV 9 and ETTV (Chinese).
I'm wondering what channels COULD Korea get. I saw Fox News Channel in the Philippines and was told Malaysia gets so many int'l channels. |

What cable company are you with to get that wide a range of english language channels? How much do you pay for it? |

I get those channels too. I am with a company called C & M Their website is www.cnm.co.kr phone number 02-2036-9494. An English speaker will answer the phone.
I think I pay 35,000 won per month for Digital Cable and High speed Cable internet. |

I get the HD digital cable package with CNM Mapo Cable. I pay around 17,000 won a month or more for it because of a special for new subscribers.
The Discovery Channel is also subtitled but never dubbed in Korean. |

To the OP, I've heard from a Malaysian friend that in Malaysia, people speak English as if it's their primary language and everybody speaks English there so that may be why they get so many English speaking channels. |

Star Sports in English and AXN are exclusive channels of Skylife TV, so those two channels ARE available in Korea.
So what channels are available in Malaysia? I'm curious.
By the way, people in Gangnam-gu and Seodaemun-gu can get TV5, a French-language channel. |

That is most definitely not true. Maybe the well educated, but not your average person. |

A Western music channel not aimed at youngsters... are there any?
That, and CBC. For The Hour and the news, I don't follow sports. |

I dunno. He's Malaysian born and bred and visits almost every year so I'm just going by what he told me. |
