The fact that most of the perps are female will come as a suprise to some, but it really makes perfect sense given that the vast majority of chiild abuse has always been comitted by women and that women are almost never held responsible for their lousy behavior. I imagine the gender balance of offenders is similar in other countries.

You should specify that your story deals with South Africa somewhere in your OP. "SA" seems insufficient, especially as you seem to drift into easy universal generalities.

Well... If I were still a boy, and I had my choice of which gender to be raped by. It wouldn't take me long to come to a decision.

That's probably why it is generally abbreviated as KSA (K for Kingdom).

"There was also an important association between victim age and sex of the perpetrator," reads Andersson and Ho-Foster's report. "Younger victims (aged 10 to 14) were more likely to report a male perpetrator than those aged 15 to 19 years."

How would they know if certain 15-19 year old boys are not reporting the crimes? What are they basing this on?! It doesn't stand to reason? Confused

Laughing Maybe the OP doesn't remember what it's like to be a boy.

I am astounded by the number of adults who appear to have, or actually have, forgotten their childhoods.
