An urgent response is required please!
I have been offered a position with a Middle School, teaching for a few hours evey second Saturday. Is it strictly legal for me to accept this position and teach, as I am on an E-2 visa, and am currently employed full time at a local elementary school? I need an answer asap, as I will be starting tomorrow...the search function is not working at all!!!

From what I understand unless it is approved by your previous employer, accepting any outside work wether paid or voluntary is illegal.
Of course, if your school endorsed it or has given you the connections to this program I would naturally assume you got the green light. Otherwise, no, not legal |

| Well...I spoke with the Education Board, and it is fine with them...so long as it is fine with my principal...all legal and above board. Now I just need to try and work out lesson plans for Middle School students!!! |

That's not everything to make it legal. You also need to get approval from immigration.
If they haven't added the second place of employment to the back of your ARC card then it's not legal even if your current employer has said it's okay, whether that be a hagwon boss or education department. |

Actually, if you are employed at a public school and they / you wish to work at a 2nd public school within the SAME district you do NOT need the blessing of the immigration department (by presidential decree).
You MAY work at 2 public schools within the SAME school district without the additional paperwork and notation on your ARC.

To the best of my knowledge there is no on-line reference I can point you to.
Note: the 2nd job MUST be noted and referenced in the employment files at the education office.
