I'm blown away. Watch it tomorrow morning if you want to cringe/clench your fists in frustration at the peninsularity cult.
"Another way to boost sports diplomacy is to boost Korea."
At some point early on, after insinuating that Olympic judges are corrupt (no argument there), the host suggests that, instead of the South Korean Olympic Committee focusing on developing athletes, perhaps they should focus on developing referees and judges who will give Korean athletes a better advantage.
Wow. |

It's the old "change your think(ing)" line that is trotted out here whenever something goes against the motherland. If you listen to the recent seoul podcast, the phenomenon is repeated with the Seoul government going after the author of the latest Lonely Planet. Ahh, glorious Daehanminguk, that magical realm in which nothing is awry and the glistening claims of grandiosity teach the world confucian-style lessons in humility and graciousness.
As for Heart to Heart, it raises my BP to apoplectic levels. I haven't been able to watch it since Mith graced it with a level of toadery and smarm that I have never seen the likes of before. |

i think it's safe to say that anything on arirang is a complete load of sh**!!
they had some story on the other day about people are eating more pork these days because of the whole beef issue....ok- relevent story.
they then went on a 5 minute 'scientific' explanation how korean pigs are the best in the world in terms of the meat being more nutritious than the rest of the world's.
arirang is the south korean's version of propaganda they're trying to spread around the world. |

Yeah, I'm amazed people get angry watching. I find it pathetic and boring. Very boring. |

afjeoij0w9ejoaisjdoijs dasfd well I got an arirang account and listened to that. i am sooooooooooooooo thankful they took that off my TV, because it was excruciating. Here's what was said between the host and that guy:
Quote: |
Host: It seems that . . . every major international sporting event there are dubious refereeing against Korea.
Guy: Sometimes there are some human errors. Sometimes, we are sorry to say that, but in Olympic Games also there are some very much just deliberate tricks involved in there but we can overcome by sports diplomacy. Now, our just Korean Olympic Committee's policies to have our coaches and assistants more international exposure to cultivate the friendship with international coaches and by going through this kind of procedure, I mean international more international exposure for our coaches, we can overcome in a short-term and medium-term.
Host: Not just coaches but I think Korea should produce more referees more officials in various sports organizations. |
